Where is Mourne Shack?
We operate in the Mourne Mountains, Northern Ireland. 
We have an office hut/shack at Meelmore Lodge campsite and a self catering hostel at Bloody Bridge, that sleeps up to 20 people.
For also we work with various larger hostels within the Mourne area and around Ireland.
We have the kit and expertise to run activities anywhere remote.
I’m interested in a kids camp. What flights should we book?
Transport from and to Dublin Airport is included in your payment.
We shall have a member of the team meeting you at the arrival gate and accompanying you back to the departure gates.
We offer a window on the arrival day and departure day.
Please arrange to land in Dublin Airport between 12 noon and 6pm.
Please arrange to depart Dublin Airport between 12 noon and 6pm.
(Flights in the earlier part of these windows are preferred).
If your flight is arranged before or after this window, there will be no supervision provided by Mourne Shack and you must arrange your own travel to camp at your own cost.
We encourage you to contact us before booking your flights so that we may support you in this process.
Ryanair does not permit under 16’s to travel alone. Most other airlines will offer a service or just require the correct paperwork. We can also help with this.
I am an International Traveler. Does Brexit affect me?
For Non UK/Irish visitors an ETA Form (Electronic Travel Authorisation) must be filled out before entering Northern Ireland for holidays.
You should have a valid passport as a means of identification or another accepted personal identity card.
There is not a formalised border control between ROI and NI.
It is always best to check with your airline.

Do I need insurance?
Mourne Shack is fully insured to operate to the extent to which it advertises.
Private travel insurance and health insurance is encouraged.
The activity I’m interested in has no fixed date?
We are most likely gathering numbers for this activity. Please contact us directly for more info or book to hold your place.
Most activities require a minimum number of participants. Once we reach this we will contact you to offer some dates.
I booked but haven’t heard anything from you?
Our apologies.
You should have received a booking confirmation via email. Please check your spam folder.
We shall also email you an Info Pack. This will arrive no later than two weeks before your activity (depending on when you booked).
What currency can I use in the Mournes?
The Mourne Mountains are in Northern Ireland and the currency is Pound Sterling £.
Can I rent kit?
Waterproof trousers and jackets can be rented at £10 per activity.
Sleeping systems (sleeping bag, sleeping mattress) are included only on our expedition activities.
For kids camps you can rent our sleeping systems for £45 per camp.
Towels can be rented for £5 per activity.
