Sustainability Ethos.
At Mourne Shack, we believe adventure and sustainability go hand in hand. Located within the Mourne, Gullion Strangford UNESCO Global Geopark, we are committed to protecting and preserving this stunning natural landscape for future generations.
We embrace Leave No Trace principles, ensuring our activities have minimal impact on the environment. From responsible camping and ethical sourcing to waste reduction and conservation efforts, we strive to operate in harmony with nature. We also prioritise the use of sustainable materials and provide eco-sustainable rash vests for swimming.
Our team promotes education and awareness, empowering our visitors to explore the outdoors safely, responsibly, and with a deep respect for the land. We support local biodiversity by following best practices for wildlife protection.
By working with local communities, charities and like minded outdoor professionals, we foster a culture of sustainability, adventure, connection and inclusion. Operating a sustainable tourism business, we contribute positively to our local economy and encourage visitors to keep discovering and stay longer.
At Mourne Shack, we don’t just explore nature, we protect it, respect it, and inspire others to do the same.
